The Olathe Public Schools Bond 2016 includes projects to address the district's growth, safety and security, technology, and aging facility needs. Projects within this $156 million bond proposal will touch every school in the district and will not increase the mill (tax) rate currently levied to pay off bonds.
District patrons have approved a $156 million mail-in bond election by 72.3 percent of the vote.
"We want to thank our community for the support they have provided us in the passing of this bond issue,” Superintendent Marlin Berry said. "We appreciate those who took the time to become informed on the issues and participate in the election process.”
