Skills for YOUR Success Workshop Information

Who:
Academy Juniors that wish to apply for a Work Based Learning experience their Senior year. 


Skills for YOUR Success Workshop is designed to enhance your employability skills and to connect with industry professionals. The first half of the workshop will consist of 3 rotation sessions:

“How to Get and Succeed at an Interview”
“Your Resume and 30 second Elevator Pitch
“Business Etiquette”

This will be followed by a Mock Interview with industry representatives.
You will need to bring THREE printed copies of your current resume.

To end the event, you will eat lunch with the industry representatives to practice networking.


Friday, October 11th – 8a-1p
The FALL workshop will be held at the K-State Olathe Campus located at:

22201 W Innovation Dr, Olathe, KS 66061.

Friday, April 17th – 8a-1p
The SPRING workshop will be held at the KU Edward Campus located at: 

12600 S Quivira Rd, Overland Park, KS 66213.   Regnier Hall Building off of 127th Street entrance.

Space is limited to approximately 100 students. 

You are responsible for getting yourself to and from the event.
Please remember to dress appropriately for the event: professional dress, no jeans/athletic wear.
Arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for parking and signing in.

If you need to cancel your registration, it is a professional courtesy to inform Cat Harland (cmpoindexterharland@olatheschools.org) PRIOR to the date so that we can fill your vacated spot from the wait-list.


Online Registrations:

If you qualify to register, please obtain the pass code from your teacher leader to access the Registration Link.
Your online registration form should be submitted no later than the Monday of the week of the workshop.
