  • What do the terms “classified” and “certified” mean?

    A "certified" position requires a license from the Kansas Department of Education or another state agency. Certified employees are teachers, counselors, speech pathologists, principals, etc. All other positions are classified: paraprofessionals, clerical staff, aides, custodians, programmers, bookkeepers, food service employees, etc.

  • Teachers – Check Your License

    As we move toward spring, now is the time to check your teaching license. It tells you when your license must be renewed and what you need to do to renew it! Check under "Helpful Links" for more info.
