“I have been interested in being a lawyer for a while. This seemed like a great opportunity to get some experience in the field. I also wanted to improve my public speaking skills and this really has helped me!”

“Having Olathe Youth Court in the district allows students to learn from their mistakes and keep the minor offense off their record.”

“I liked the fact that I could get community service hours while participating. I also wanted to see if I might be interested in a future career as a prosecuting attorney.”

“To be quite crass, Olathe Youth Court has showed me the fact that society isn’t perfect. There will always be people who make unfortunate mistakes out of unfortunate circumstances. Youth Court gives us second chances, and that’s why I think it’s such an awesome program.”
