Olathe Public Schools is excited to announce the event titled “Community Educational Programs: A Family Speaker and Support Series.” These events aim to educate and support the parents and families of our students and linking them to appropriate community resources. A committee of professionals was formed to examine the needs of the student body and their families relating to mental health and wellness. Each event will feature a professional speaker who will share information about the topics listed below.
The presentations for 2020-2021 will be live streamed.

2017-2018 Past Presentations
Jeremy Didier, PCAC, PCC, a Parent Coach and Outreach Coordinator for ImpactADHD, founder and group director of ADHDKC, Kansas City’s award-winning CHADD chapter, and a Professional Certified ADHD Coach presented on the topic of ADHD. This event was held on Tuesday, February 6th 2018 at the Technology Support Center at 7pm.
Brandon Mock, ATR-BC, LPC, LMFT, a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Kansas, and the Associate Vice President for Phoenix Programming at KidsTLC in Olathe, KS presented on the topic of Managing Emotions. This event was held on Tuesday, November 14th 2017 at the Technology Support Center at 7pm
2016-2017 Past Presentations
Liz George, LSCSW and Angela Guzman, MA from Johnson County Mental Health/Family Focus presented on the topic of Self Care: Coping, Stress Reduction and a Healthy Life Balance. This event was held on Tuesday, May 16th at the Technology Support Center beginning at 7pm.
Diane McLean, MEd, PCC presented on the topic of Anxiety at the March 21st event at 7pm. She shared her expertise on the signs/symptoms and effective management strategies.
